Making Art with PET
Atelier ART, THINGS & SECTIONS offers the project "Making Art with PET, a crafts workshop who has work with recycled materials, in particular PET bottles, turning them into tools, ornaments and toys.
Purpose
The goal of this workshop, as well as disseminating the reuse of PET bottles, is to develop a production center or individual training of professionals to create decorative objects and utilities for the material. Creating, not only the possibility of generating income, but also awakening and developing the creativity and freedom of artistic expression among participants. It provides a fresh look at the PET bottles and various materials and their potential as raw material.
Techniques
The techniques used are: ONEDECK (heated plate for finishing), folds, cuts and techniques pra tilt the bottles. All parts are painted and the utilitarian are lacquered.
Other Topics
During the workshop will be addressed other issues: ecological consciousness; Benefits of separation of recyclable waste; Preservation.
Audience
The audience targeted by ART, THINGS & exchange is not specific. Want to work from the artisan awareness to the purchaser of all ages and social classes. But the biggest beneficiary, yes, are the low-income individuals.
Closure
At the end of the course, and if the interest of the institution, an exhibition is organized so that the work produced during the course barely be presented, thereby rousing the interest of others to the treatment of recyclable materials.
